In 2010, my debit card, mostly known as ATM card, was only used to withdraw the maximum cash I could from the one bank that provided so I didn’t have to go back. It was costly and I always had to be worried about theft etc.

Today, I can use my debit card to pay at a number of supermarkets, pharmacies, almost every hotel, several restaurants, online and recently at a few fuel stations. Slowly going back to a time when 99% of my transactions were cashless. PROGRESS, Yes…..but…

MasterCard-8Can I go back to being as cashless possible, in Rwanda?! Will there be a time when the shop around the corner can allow me to pay for bread & milk with my card or mobile phone or even order and pay online for home delivery? Most importantly, shall EVERY Rwandan be able to pay digitally?

I have been called crazy for believing it can be done – Oh well….I will not stop believing or working hard toward this – I hope you can join me in this craziness by striving to kick the cash😃

It’s not crazy, but for sure challenging. But we are many people that are dedicated to the dream, and we are making good progress!
