To our the men and women in uniform who gave everything including their lives to liberate our Rwanda, we thank you.
I fondly remember and celebrate my uncles and cousins who left their families, jobs and school to go to the frontline. Some never said goodbye in hopes they’d come back to us, or that they’d be stopped because they were so young, we salute you. We miss you terribly and pray you are proud of the work we are doing to continue the work you started.
To our grand parents and parents who gave of themselves, their hard earned/hard to come buy monies to support those on the frontline, we thank and salute you. You organized events to raise money for food, blankets, uniforms, name it, so those on the frontline could have supplies for a liberation struggle which took four long years. Thank you.
Today, we stand tall and proud to be Rwandans, in Rwanda. We live in a United and liberated Rwanda, focused on making our country the best it can be, a great home for our children and generations after.
They say, there’s no place like home and no doubt there’s no place like OUR HOME, RWANDA.
Thank you our liberators. Because of you, WE ARE. Thank you!
