Pain can choke you for so long and even choke you to death.

There was a time I carried pain from experiences during my pre-teens and teen years. Add to that being robbed of my favorite people during Rwanda’s liberation struggle and the Genocide against the Tutsi. I was raging many a time.

For years, I was angry. The mere mention of the names of those who tormented my mind triggered me. I spent a lot of time between 1999 and 2008 going to Church and all that comes with it, but no amount of church could take the anger away.

Later, through mentorship, coaching, and counseling (therapy) I discovered the power of forgiveness for me and begun to exercise it.

Now in my early forties, I want to encourage you who has taken time to read this, especially you much younger than I to try forgiveness for a lifetime of freedom.

Whatever caused you pain, you cannot change anything about that.

No matter the amount of pain you endure, freeing yourself from the chock-hold of it all and rooting yourself in being and doing good, will bring goodness to you a hundred fold.

Consider freeing yourself from any and all emotional pain, everyday, so you can LIVE joyfully, enjoying each happy moment you are blessed with.

Here’s to freedom🥂.
