It is only Tuesday, but feeling like June has been 100 days. The last week has been crazy, my commitment to ensuring Africans are financially and digitally included driven by cashless Africa, was put to the test in more ways than one. Today I wanted to stay in bed and only wake up when I see a silver lining in all that is happening, but the body alarm and its usual need for a runners high couldn’t let me be.
The endorphins delivered because they snapped me right out of this moment of doubt. One thing kept running in my head, for the entire 5k and by the end of it, every ounce of my being was awakened and energized to keep pushing. After all, I am Mama Push, right?
Apple’s “Think Different” ad narrated by the genius Steve Jobs was the thing this morning. I want to share them with you who are striving to BE and LEAD the change our Africa needs.
“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
Think you can change the world, never stop! There are obstacles at almost every corner through brothers and sisters who don’t see what you see or believe in POSSIBLE. Do not allow them to discourage you. Instead, keep pushing, that change you desire and stand FIRM for shall come – BELIEVE!
