May I suggest a check list for requirements for declarations and other documents should be posted so this is a one day process. Checklist and process should be posted to ensure efficient services that save citizens the runaround. Thank you in advance.

Kicukiro police station is definitely trying my patience. Trying very hard not to vent so will do what I know best, write 😃.

Day 1 – 17th Jan – go bring copy of ID that had be stolen along with other stuff – come back Monday – no statement taken.

Day 2 – back Monday 19th – that ID was supposed to bring isn’t even asked of me. This time statement is taken. Told to come back today Tuesday 20th my case will be assigned.

Day 3 – 20th Back today – told to wait in first 2 offices. Kind lady in charge of customer care comes, we chat and she walks me to another office. Back to reception office – this time asked for 2 passport pictures. No mention of this before.

Have to go to work- will try again tomorrow and see what will be asked of me.

Lucy,Generally declaration/claiming of lost IDs requires thorough investigation to avoid making it easy for people to own 2 or more original copies.
Since,it is impossible to investigate loss on an ID, use of the bureaucracy creates the checks, I suppose!

Structures bureaucracy – clear to public is acceptable. Hapzhardness makes for inefficient service delivery to citizens.
